Course Content: -    The course is made up of two units

  • Religion and Life – Year 10
  • Religion and Society – Year 11

Students will study the following topics focussing on Christianity and Islam.  Some of the issues studied are as follows:-

  • Rights and Responsibilities
  • Drugs and Alcohol
  • Crime and Punishment
  • Abortion
  • Euthanasia
  • The whole of the media
  • Arguments for and against the existence of God
  • Marriage and the Family
  • Environmental Issues
  • War and Peace

Methods of Assessment: - The students will be assessed on their performance in two exams lasting 11/2 hours.  Both exams will take place at the end of Year 11.
